Too many games to play!

OK, so I'm pretty busy, but something in me makes me stay up late to still get my game on. There are so many games that I have to play and beat that I can barely keep up.

Games I'm Currently Playing Through (it's sad)
- Halo 3 XBOX360 (just finished)
- Call 0f Duty 4 XBOX360 (half way, it's amazing)
- Metroid Prime 3 Wii (other things keep calling away)
- Zelda Phantom Hour Glass DS (even on the road)

My problem is that I keep starting games and before I can finish them a new one comes out that I have to play. It's like getting through all the first half of your favorite movies.

These are all games still coming out in November that I'm sure I will get distracted again.

Something must be done... I have a shelf full of great old PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube games I never finished and some that are still in the wrapper. I need an intervention.

I Recommend Trauma Center for Wii

With my schedule, I don't have time to game as much as I'd like. A little while ago I spent some time playing Trauma Center for the DS. Though it was a very innovative experience I got frustrated at the difficulty level. I didn't have time to try and play a game that I had to master to reach the 5 level. That is why I was skeptical of the new version of the Wii. Not only did I doubt the controls but I thought it would be the exact same game but on the TV. I was wrong. I loved this game and finished it in about 3 weeks. That's fast for me. So I wanted to recommend this game and post gamespot's review of it.

Flash on the Wii? Interesting...

As of this past weekend Nintendo has made a trial version of the Wii Opera browser. Believe it or not, it works. It's really the first good example of web on the tv that I've seen. Because of the Wii's revolutionary controller you are able to move around like a mouse. The only strange part is the fact that a normal NTSC tv is at 720 x 486 which means in most sites will be too large and you will have to scroll around.

The most important part about this is the fact that Flash 7 in enabled. This opens up a whole new realm of possibilities. As of now the coolest thing is being able to watch You Tube on my tv, but their is potentially a lot more you could so with it. How great would it be to make a flash game that interfaces with the Wii remote to be able to use the motion sensor. On a more practical side, you could make specialized microsites, specifically formatted for the Wii. Like I said... possibilities.

The PS3 Fiasco

About three weeks ago I decide that waiting for a Nintendo Wii to fall into my lap was not going to happen (Yes, I meant Wii, hold your horses I'm getting there) . So I wake up on a Sun morning at 5:00 am to head over to my local Target, where I heard they were getting a shipment. After standing in line for two hours, I was one of the lucky eight to receive a ticket. I felt sorry for the other 35 people but obviously not that sorry because I got one. While I was literally paying for my Wii, I spotted a PS3 box out of the corner of my eye. I asked if it was a display and the target employee told me "no, it was for sale." I quickly grabbed it, assuming that I would make a small fortune on ebay for it. $900.00 later I was walking out with not only my coveted Wii, but also a PS3 in hand.

As soon as I got home I placed the PS3 on ebay and hoped for the best. After 3 days of no bids, I was beginning to get concerned. Then I got a "Buy it now" bite for $1200. "SWEET!" I invoiced them through Paypal and almost immediately got a response. I went to my Paypal account to transfer the money and low and behold, it wasn't there. I went back to the confirmation email to review the fine print. It said "Because this is an international shipment, Paypal will hold your money in escrow until a tracking number is sent to this email address." This sounded extremely weird to me, so I called Paypal. After waiting on the phone for 30 min, a rep asked me where I was suppose to send it to. I told her that the purchase was from CA. but it now says that the shipment was to go to Nigeria. That's when she said "DON'T SEND IT!" It was a fake email from a scammer in Nigeria. SUCK!

Needless to say that after trying to sell my PS3 three times on ebay, I failed. I couldn't get more then $100 for all my efforts. The market was completely flooded to the point that they were selling for exactly what I bought it for. Not only that, but I tried to sell it to four of my friends and no one wanted it. So today I took it back to Target with a defeat on my face as well as one single tear. When I gave it to the clerk, he told me that I was one of many people returning their PS3's because they couldn't sell them on ebay.

So I guess if you are a Sony fanboy this is good news for you. You can get a PS3 no problem now. But if you are one of the many people that managed to get a PS3 in hopes of riches beyond your imagination, the time has past.
